Hard to believe that it's not a photograph.
Very well done!

I can tell the hair is rendered.
This maya seems like a decent program, is it free?

A hard core perfect picture!
The hair is unbelivably beautiful
the lady her self is greatly croped her shoulders are shaded wonderfuly
but i mostly love...her nipple XD LOL joke!
Im in love with her head...
how calm her body looks makes me curious to what she is looking at
the hair line against her neck is greatly emphasized by the random fine hairs catching the light
Keep up the great work D: your gallery blows my mind XD

beautiful rendering, but why the cliche figure? blonde, slender, caucasian?
I would have been much more impressed if it was not the idolization of the common stylized arian race

mY GOD ....
Amazing Job ...
DOnt have much time here ....
So just somerandom rough toughts :
Have fun
Ruben
I Mean ...
This mental Ray Shaders ...
Kinda mental ray its such a Oldie engine ...
COmparing to vray final render ...
But its shaders can do like miracles with such basic setuping ....
........
For me final render has even more power in low quality machines ... render fast ... bether global illumination aprox ...
Vray got .. well those several render option to mix render engines and ... also some cool shaders ...
Bot final render and vray are working out in the realtime renders to midle this year launch ....
And Mental Ray only have its not so much complete real time solution for previsualization in rendition...
Fry render ... got its wounderfull easy workflow sistem ... and maxwell - that is a lil complicated to work out ... but its getting powerfull no doubt ...
But just in shader customization power this surpasses everything ...
The rest its just a Area light for those soft shading then the shader does all the rest here isnt ?
Yu people should do a Tuttorial on this one here ...
The subtle skin "layers" with multiple subscatering or sumething .. we almost see its veigns .. and Almost seams to got like 3 or 4 layers of subscatering , .....
That would be achieved with a inner geometry to fake bones and muscles and inner skin ... and the upper geometry with the subsurfaçe skin ...
But that is just "one shader work" on a simple model isnt ....
I reaaly would like to see a Screen shot of your maya network ... for that shader and some explaining ... lol
The soft lights also do everything ...
And i see you have loads of traditional Art Study [link] Above watever yu do isnt ...
Hum hum hum...
WEll thanks so much for all the awsome tuttorials yu been outputed so far ...
As Tip: Do another tuttorial one Of this figure ... Explaining the figure And achievement all step by step setup but .. not just the figure .. some clothe with doble face subscatering and ... scatering on her clothes and in several levels of emulate several tipes of surfaçes ... Skin .. leater .. Tiny tissues ... drapery ... all etc
As to improve .. Well the hair is still not so much real ... XD WHat i think of that is that not contrary to the skin ... the hair also have translucence and reflection properties ...
Here seams just a simple shader on the hair ... that does not do that proper efect at all...
But maibe its just because of the Hair sistem ..
Its that shave and haircut hair ?
Well enouph of messing with devious toughts yo live ...
KEEP UP the Amazing Atonishing work ...
And keep up learning from the masters [link] ... And from photography ... Thats the only way to get there to the achievement of all that greatest in what you are "almost" there already ...
Whow congrats !

A+ Lighting. I really like that the 3 point light set up is done pitch perfect. Good contrast between light and dark and a nice amount of gradation over the arm.
Hats off to you sir.

it's great! But I would like it much more if there wouldn't be that light spot in background

The likeness of this is absoloutely incredible. The lighting is supurb, as is the texture of her hair and the colour blending in her skin.
It's simply perfect!

It's very beautiful, but somehow uncomfortable. It has the merciless detail of a photograph (e.g. the facial blemishes) but the technique is classic portrait painting. It keeps one guessing, I suppose.

its amazing how you followed the contours of the shoulder and the body seemed to flow all in one motion. (i may not draw but i know good artists when i see one) her neck and hair are also extremly life-like. overall? bravo. seriously.
