(this is my DnD goblin character)

Drugs, dreams, and gold. That’s what Geko Soto has spent her life bartering in. Growing
up on the mean streets of the peasants quarters of Luthedern does something to a kid. One
could say it’s kill or be killed, dog eat dog, or maybe poison someone’s fine brandy and slip out
of the party for the night before anyone notices. From the time she was a sprout running around
her uncle’s patent leather shoes Geko had been drawn to concoctions. The obvious outlet for
this passion was helping at the bar her aunt, Galliwasp, ran near in the goblin’s quarter of the
slums. As soon as she could reach the bar she was mixing and making the most spectacular
beverages known on the circle. What really caught her interest though, was both in the bar and
in her family’s auction house, seeing rare plants being smuggled into the hands of nobles from
the Land of the Gods. What an interesting concept, she thought, as I sit in this bar, mixing
liquors from roots and fruits, when I could be handling cocktails that can change a man’s fate.
From this point she decided it was time to set out. A goblin can’t waste her youth rotting
away in her family’s home can she? No, of course not. So, she roamed the land in search of
knowledge. She gained this from meeting bedouin tribes in the desert and seeing their rituals of
ascending the mortal coil with smoke of purple blooms. She learned from ancient healers of
traditional medicine, and took very careful notice of what they said not to ingest (that would be
important for later). She even sat with noble courts and kings, as they imbibed mind altering
drugs as ones of their station would to feel something new. All of this she brought back to
Luthedern, as well as the most valuable thing she could have obtained, connections.
Taking her post at her parent’s sides (Tegu Soto her father, and Anolis Soto her mother)
she resumed working at The Soto House. This had always been the only way to get things that
one could not easily attain in Luthedern, but now? Now it was where you could see your
dreams, touch them even, with the exotic tinctures Geko had brought back with her. Anyone
would know a Geko Cocktail by the Scarlet Poppy label on the cap, and know that it would
either change, or end their life.
Komodo Soto, head of the goblin family, and Councilman of Commerce in the Unscaled
Council took notice of this. His own niece had made such a name for herself, of course he
would ask her to perform some other… favors. Through some trials and tribulations Geko
trained herself to become unnoticed in all circles (but who ever truly notices goblins on the
higher rings, don servants’ garbs and you’re invisible) and then to deliver a sweet, floral death to
those the don wanted to not wake up and smell the flowers.
She lived this life, and through meeting and mingling had three sons: Tokay, Mamba, and
Boa. Life is hard for a working mother, but she struggled through and they miraculously survived
to adulthood. Now the twists and turns of life has taken her to a guild of to-be heroes to watch
what is taking place on the higher rings. A new force has taken root in Luthedern and the
unscaled council is not taking it sitting down.
