Description
R.I.P Steve Irwin.Well basically, I was pretty shocked/upset when I heard the news. I thought it was a joke, a stupid sick joke... but then I saw the news and did my crying. Anyways yeah, I wanted to pay my respects the only way I really know how, so I drew this picture in memory of the beloved Crocodile Hunter.
I've made a deal with my mother where if I manage to obtain atleast 75+ faves on this picture (which isn't THAT much, but enough for me) her and I are gonna pitch together and mail this drawing to Steve Irwin's family. So if you feel the same way I do, and if you'd like to help me do that... please, feel free ?

yeah, I have this weird obsession with trying to frame my drawings, and when I was thinking this picture up I knew I wanted to use Crocs. I was just scared it wouldn't turn out, but I'm pretty impressed with how it looks.

yeah... poor guy. And as if that was crazy enough, the last thing he did before he died was pull the freakin' thing out.

No, I think you did a great job capturing his personality!! I'm just too worried about people's emotions. I'm sorry... I think they'll appreciate it, though, cause he was awsome. ^^ I really think what you're doing is awsome.

awwww I know. Someone was talking about it in class (I don't watch the news) and I thought they were just being stupid. And then we had to watch this school news thing and they were talking about it. It makes me so mad. That man was just.. well you know. I'll miss his insane enthusiasm.
I wish I was cool like him. -snifflesniffle-

I feel bad for his family, 'cause he left a little daughter behind didn't he.
He was a legend. I used to watch The Crocodile Hunter on Animal Planet was I was ikkle.
I didn't cry though, I'm kinda glad he died doing something he loved. Rather than got hit by a car or something stupid like that.
Anyways I'm faving this. I hope you get to mail it to his family.

thank you, and I know what you mean... I mean a stingray still sucks ass, but if he would've died from like, choking on a McDonald's french fry or something... I would've been straight up pissed.

How is it that i knew this would be the subject when i clicked on the title "gone but not forgotten."?
I find it intriguing that America was so affected by his death. I mean, I suppose he played as almost an
unofficial representitive for my country .. but in truth he was just a funny, ordinary bloke who liked mucking
around with animals. My cousins spent a day hanging out with him last year. When he was handing dangerous
and potentially lethal animals he was always aware of the risks, and he chose to take them.
They wanted to give him a state funeral! Thats a very big deal! It was confirmed though, that Steve didnt
want one. Thats just how it should be. We should remember him - but avoid the sensationalism so often
used by the media, because thats what he would have wanted. Remember Steve as a great dad, husband
and bloke.
But i didnt cry. whats wrong with me?

I wasn't too shocked when I heard the news.
I mean, yeah, it's tragic when anyone's life is lost...but I mean, he was messing around with animals, wild ones...despite his experience or not.
His shows were interesting though.

well yeah, everybody knew he'd die doing what he was doing EVENTUALLY... but when it came down to it, nobody ever thought it would actually happen, I mean... he was invincible in a sense. He's lived through much worse.
Everybody has there own oppinions though.
