I hadn't planned yet on what to do with Dulcy in my Sonic art yet. But for people who asked, I did a quick Dulcy image. I have trouble with actual dragons, so I made Dulcy look more like her reboot self here to make it easier for me.

"A young dragon born at South Island's Red Volcano Zone, Dulcy was born into a line of protector dragons, destined to one day be responsible for the safety of her clan.
Her first encounter with Sonic came when he and Sally were searching for the island's six Chaos Emeralds. Dulcy's dragon elders had the red Chaos Emerald in their possession, but hid it in the Labyrinth Zone to put Sonic's fear of water and inability to swim to the test. Sonic, on the verge of drowning, managed to win the Emerald from its hiding place, giving him the dragon's respect.

Dulcy and her mother followed Sonic and Sally back to Westside Island to witness the supposed use of the Emeralds to distribute free clean energy to the world. However, this was all a ruse by Dr. Robotnik to use the Emeralds to begin his plans of world domination, beginning with his coup of the Mobian Islands. Dulcy lost her mother during the initial attack, and then she herself was captured.

Dulcy was used as a power battery for a super badnik dragon. However, the newly half roboticized Bunnie Rabbot used her newfound strength to help Sonic destroy the robot and freeing Dulcy. Dulcy then joined Sally's small band of Freedom Fighters as they fought for their survival and striking back at Robotnik's attacks. After overloading Robotnik's main core machine powered by the six Emeralds and sending them back to South Island's Special Zone, Sonic and Sally gave chase using an old bi-plane that Rotor had repaired, with Dulcy flying with them. Upon returning to her homeland, Dulcy learned that in her absence the dragons had gone into hiding from Robotnik due to her mother's death, and the dragons no longer having a true protector. Dulcy left the Freedom Fighters and took up the mantle as the new Protector of both the dragons and South Island.

Dulcy's duties prevented her from aiding in Sonic's later adventures, although when Sonic returned to South Island to find a shard of a shattered Chaos Emerald (Sonic Blast 8-bit), Dulcy aided him when his search took him into the Red Volcano Zone."
