So I take it that you are not a believer. (Neither am I.) I have joked that (if you are a republican, stop reading this NOW!) in 2012, the republican party will choose Sarah Palin as the next republican presidential nominee. (another, yeah right)

Planet X is Eris and is not on a collision path with earth, nor is it inhabited. Ceres is a dwarf planet in the asteriod belt and the closest thing to a Tiamat, but also a dead, frozen world.
There are more worlds out there, MakeMake and Haumea, with still more to be discovered. Most are near the farthest reaches of their elliptical orbits which is why its taken so long to find them. Thing is, at that distance, beyond Eris, we're talking orbital periods in excess of 300,000 years.
For one of them to hit us in 4 years time, it'd have be no further out right now than the asteroid belt, which we can see clearly with ground based scopes and are constantly watching for new asteroids. Plus the NEO program would have found and cataloged it by now if it were that close. Any world large enough to have sustained life would be highly visible in the brightness of the nearing sun, if only 4 years out from 1AU. We don't see it.
And even if we couldn't see it, we could see its gravitational interaction with the asteroids and/or mars and jupiter.
the exception to this would be if in fact it's perpendicular to the ecliptic, and we can't see it. Even then, I highly suspect that at such a close distance to us, we would have detected it.
Good on you for finding the theory improbable.

Idiotic people
Nice interpretation, though I certainly hope nothing does happen (even though all logical individuals know this is total bullocks). By the time the world "ends" I probably won't even be married, and I know I won't have my commission. I want to be a full fledged Air Force officer, dangit!
Actually, come to think of it, I may have my commission for a few days before we all die
