Alternate History: Dassault Mistral

The French certainly went all out in developing the ACD (Avion de Combat Discret), named "Mistral" by Dassault. Whilst having compromises stealth-wise due to the blended canard-delta layout, it remains an impressive machine. Mistral offers cleaner supercruise performance than the vaunted F-22 and it nearly matches the fearsome Su-49 in raw kinematics. Patriotic fervor seemed to play a part as well; and the fair amount of public support was a neat bonus. Dassault figured, if Western Europe were to return to the air superiority arena, France would surely take the lead.
