At some point Professor Maurice has returned to ATSL Isle for a brief visit. Double U gladly showed him around some more. She also showed Maurice how to look at other comic panels to see your past and future self.That's just how this part of the Multiverse works.
Maurice might have read about this phenomenon, but he never experienced it himself.
This idea came to me randomly, when I was supposed to work on a Deacon-centered comic (haven't decided yet if it's going to be a miniseries or a strip).
Maurice is an outsider in this world of mine so he works perfectly in this kinds of scenarios.
But who is Maurice, you may ask. Why does he look like Sonic? How does he know this clearly different-art-styled canine?
