I set up this still life in my studio at home. I don't have too much experience in doing this, but I tried to make it as compositionally strong as I could. This idea is for my Art Studio (drawing) concentration at school (my concentration is music). Please tell me what you think.Related content

very beautiful shot! if I had to point out ONE thing, it would be the placement of the bow, the white hairs going in the opp. direction of the rest of the comp. is a little distracting....but it's jsut a minor thing. Besides, I really shouldnt say anything, I'm no good at phoography.
I like how you did the lighting. it almost gives it a classic, candle lit feel, and the red tones in teh violin are accented by the rose, or perhaps the rose is accented by the violin...?

Thanks for the comment Sebbez! I don't have too much experience in creating dramatic lighting, so I really could use all of the help I can get. If anyone can go into a little more depth about the lighting, it would be greatly appreciated. I used two lights by the way; one is comming directly from the right, and the other is on the left to and below everything so it is somewhat indirect. I don't know if this was a good idea, but like a said, any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks again.

I like the violin and it's color components ... but mayne the light is a a little bit weak!
But, however ... nice composition!
