A year ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. I wanted to draw what it felt like to be in that relationship, what it feels like now I have removed myself from that abusive environment. It was such a dark place I couldn't even notice my heart was breaking into tiny little pieces. It took me a year, but most of the pieces are back together now, and just like that little lady in the back of the drawing, I'm looking forward, looking up to the sky, seeing the light of the sun coming back up. Can you see it ?
