Here are some old sketches of Rigby when I thought he would look cool with a tie. That would have sucked to animate. I'm sure korea was happy i ditched it.Related content

For some reason, that tie of his seems to make him look smart. But I agree, he does look cool with the tie though.

I really want to be an animator like you......but dont you get a little bored drawing the same thing a million times?? And I know you can't take the tail off Rigby, but is it a pain to draw all the lines on his tail, too? And all the little lines along his body....wow.....

Yeah, the tie may have worked for Donkey Kong, but I don't think it would've worked for Rigby.
I do agree that the Korean animators were glad they just had to draw a raccoon, as opposed to a raccoon with a striped tie.
