Description This is a painting of the 11th Doctor Who played by Matt Smith from the BBC series Doctor Who.

With the announcement of the new Doctor played by Peter Capaldi, I know that many of you are sad to see Matt Smith retire from the role. And I know also that most of my watchers are avid Dr Who fans so here is my tribute to Matt Smith. As usual I wanted to try and paint something that is fresh and special. I hope you like it

This is a great action shot of Matt.Β  I love how you made the sonic screwdriver glow.Β  It's always interesting to see how a new actor can fill the shoes of the universe's most famous spaceman.Β  Of course my favorite Doctors are Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy .

You're very welcome...and believe it or not, Dr.Who has been going longer than that.Β  It started in the early 60s, when the title character was played by William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton .

I keep seeing stuff about Dr. Who online, but it just doesn't interest me enough to make me want to watch it. Having said that, this is a pretty awesome painting. Do I even need to say they're awesome anymore? XDXD
