Another photo from my safari trip. This rusty old plow sits in the yard of the second homestead we visited on this trip. Why digital darkroom for this one? I did a little burning around the edges of the photo.Related content

i was drawn to this photo primarily because of the calm, peaceful mood conveyed in the image.. the angle really adds to that. but what really gives it that feel is the grain bending over with the wind or breeze... great submission...

It takes you away and defines the essence of it all... the soft blowing wheat... a beautiful contrast of scale.
The home was minimal... it was all about the land.

Another grand shot...forgotten and overgrown farm equipment is always a must to photograph! What makes this one special is the barn and trees in the background! I wonder what this would have looked like if you would have shifted the camera slightly to the left to exclude the building on the right. But who knows - maybe there's a freeway or some other distracting object off to the left! Great shot, James!
