The other part of my collab with FlyingUsagi, this one of Celes from FFIII/VI, whatever you wanna call it. Wow, I can't draw women. I need to work on that. This looks 100x better in full-view mode, btw.On another note, I'm sick of cel-shading. I think I'll stick to soft-shading from now on unless someone requests it.
*If you see this twice, I changed her hair--much better now! It doesn't bug me so much.

Um, the only thing really wrong with your cell shading is you're doing too many tones. One regular tone, one shadow, and one highlight. That's all you need. Otherwise it get's this sort of carved-out-of-wood look to it. Cell shading is very simplified-- you're trying a little too hard.
I do like this one, though. I always preferred this outfit on Celes. I just think it's cuter.

Ah, thanks for the critique...the reason I add so many layers is because I want it to look different from the usual, ya know? But yeah, it does look like a wood carving, ha ha.
