The problem with working on a project for longer than a year is, is that a year is a very long time, and in that time, you can learn a ton! And once you're done with your project and you look back at the work you've done, you might come to the realization that your previous work might not be representative anymore of your current talents. That is exactly what happened with this piece. It's a redraw of the very first illustration ever commissioned from me and it was very poor, haha. So, with that illustration ending up becoming published, I felt like it needed an update, to save my pride more or less.
And all in all, I think the new version is miles ahead of the old, and now I feel I can be proud of it.
