OK, I attempted to draw Soundwave as a copter, and failed. I got as far as his upper body, which was easy enough. The propeller forms his shoulder cannon by folding the blades back. The windshield forms his chest and the front folds down onto his stomach. He doesn't change into any particular copter, I was just attempting a general overall shape...

The part that screwed me up was the rear end of the copter, which was too skinny to work with. I tried to make it form his gun, but it looks nothing like his original. his legs couldn't be worked into the design either. So this is my first attempt... But I think I'll have to start all over...
