My piece for the 2008 calendar we are putting together: [link] Since I had October, I thought I'd do something slightly creepy. I actually think this would make a for a decent anime if it had a bit of a darker theme to it like death note.
Guy named Thorn actually comes to enjoy feeding the plant and treats it like it is his own flesh and blood. He is in awe of its hunger and slightly envious that the plant can just devour whom ever it doesn't like.
He enters the plant into floral contest promising it a hardy meal it if will sit still and look pretty for the judges, telling the plant he will use the money help it grow. Yet... he secretly takes a part of the prize winnings and sets up a surveillance system, video taping himself feeding the plant and allowing it to roam free at night. He uses this to get more money from the wealthy and begins experiments on how to obtain the strength of the plant so as to dominate those around him and rule to world through communication with plant life.

I just went to see this play about a month or so ago. I still can't get the songs out of my head, haha. Great picture though, the severed arm really puts the piece into context. Poor Seymore...
