If you're on the internet and you've never heard of Pokemon then you're some kind of anomaly. Pokemon isn't just a franchise, it's a cultural phenomenon. I was there when it first came to America and managed to collect some cards and toys, play the games, and watch the anime. I haven't kept up with the anime since Johto, and I've been on and off with the games. Lately I don't have the time to play Pokemon so I don't have the latest games, though I HAD to get the new Pokemon Snap when it came out. I went with gen 1 pokemon for Coach and Suzie since they're in the 90s and it's what people know best. These are also two of my favorite pokemon, victreebel and gengar. Whoever wins this pokemon battle, I'm sure they'll both be good sports about it.
