first of all, your work's great.
second, this piece needs more visual movement. I love the idea of the glowing white character in the center, but my eye gets stuck there. try adding some equally lighted stuff (maybe even just a shaft or globe of light in the upper left center of this image, somewhere above the stairway, almost to the top.
does that make sense?
