When Sydney McGuffin (Skater Lad) was young, he watched a sci-fi movie that featured these particular alien plant creatures with multiple eyes. Sydney freaked out when he saw them and they soon became his greatest fear. Now, whenever he sees a lotus seed pod or something resembling it, the plant aliens from his youth come back to his mind to haunt him. Dr. Pollen later brought a multi-eyed plant alien to life as a way to counter against Sydney McGuffin.
