Sorry. I haven't been on this account much. I've been swamped with summer school. Anyways, this idea was created as 1) a way to update some of my work from my kenshingumi559 days and 2) a way for me to create a zanpakutou that incorporated the saya along with the katana.

The idea is that my character is nicknamed the “Sheath King” in the 11th division because of his innovative technique in the iaido style. For him, his sword is not just that katana, but also the saya(scabbard). I wanted to create a zanpakutou that incorperated the saya as part of the sword since most of the time the saya is rendered useless and only a means to hold the sword.

In the zanpakutou’s shikai form, he can build up reiatsu kind of like water pressure in his scabbard in order to draw it at incredible speed, causing “molecular friction” and allowing for him to create fire with his attacks. However, this proves to be a double edged sword; the more reiatsu he uses, the shorter he can hold the swords form.

In bankai, the saya becomes a blade, causing the enemy to think that his throws away his saya for a bigger sword. This is just trick his opponent into thinking that he has no more options. If he uses his reiatsu to increase the speed of his draw, his bankai immediately dissipates due to the obscene amount of reiatsu needed to hold his zanpukutou in that form.

He has two special attacks: one where he shoots his katana out the sheath like a bullet with the built up reiatsu pressure and other where he builds up the pressure in order to perform a high speed battojutsu while creating a fire slash.

That’s all so far. Heavily inspired by Dynasty warriors 8 guan pings sword and 11eyes seven swords of that one girl.
