It was the big moment. At the countdown of 3... 2... 1... Philina plugged in the tree.

And with a blinding *FLASH*, suddenly there followed an absolute blackness. Then, the distinct smell of ozone.

Just like that, the fairies managed to blow the lights on the tree, the house circuit breakers, the neighborhood power grid, and 1/3rd the city's electrical systems. The Tinker's all broke out in cheers saying it was their best Christmas prank ever.

Next year, I don't care if it's old fashioned and a fire hazard, we're going back to candles.
