I can't even decide which Loki I like more. Because the Loki of Runemarks is the Loki of Norse Mythology (with a few twists), and the Loki of the Avengers is the Loki of Marvel Comics, and they are so very different. I love love Runemarks!Loki, though, and this is such an amazing picture of him.

Haha, I know how you feel! I've got to say that at first, I didn't like his portrayal in the Marvel Universe too much because I thought he wasn't...um, mischievous enough (and it bothered me a little that he was Odin's son xD). But I like him a lot in the Avengers and think he was awesome in Thor 2. So, as I already said, I like both - but nothing beats the Loki in Runemark. There, he's such a jerk and such a likeable character at the same time.
Glad that you like the picture!

He really isn't. I mean, in the movies at least. He shows occasional signs of mischief, but most of what he does is just downright nasty, and intended to be. I like him being brothers with Thor, because I love stories about brothers, but he can be brothers with Odin in Runemarks and it'll suit me just fine.Β Β Thor 2 was really great because it definitely showed off his more playful side, which is kind of weird when you think about the occasion.

Loki is just brilliant in Runemarks. He's the perfect combination of self-serving jerk and reluctantly helpful.

I couldn't agree more! I mean, of course, Loki isn't a nice guy - but in Thor he just seemed like a plain villain (with a few daddy issues ) and I found that pretty boring. You could tell what he was up to - and that he was the bad guy - practically right from the beginning...and I love that this is not the case with the Loki in Runemarks since you never know how he's going to decide.
And, as you pointed out, his playful side - he's hilarious in the novels and also extremely funny in Thor 2 (Btw, I think that the sequel of Thor was the better movie in general, not only because of Loki's portrayal. The whole storyline, the jokes and the finale were so much better - in my opinion, at least^^).
Sorry for the rant - that's what happens when someone gets me started on movies or novels.

Never apologize for ranting to me about novels or movies! I love to hear it, especially discussions on Loki!

I liked Thor 1 because at first they were happy and I loved that, and also, Loki wasn't really evil in that one. If the end of Thor 1 had been just a tiny bit different (i.e. if Odin wasn't a huge jerk) then the Avengers wouldn't have happened the way it did, because Loki would have gotten counseling or something instead of falling into the void and getting caught by the Chitauri and going even more crazy than he already was.

Thor 2 was glorious. The Sass! The Brotherhood! The Epic Road Trip! The Backseat Driving! The Science! Jane! Darcy! The Intern!

Haha, good to know - ranting about movies or novels is the best!

Yeah, you're right. Seeing them team up was maybe even better than them fighting each other.

Oh dear God. Your comment on Thor 2: Epic!

Tell me how you like it when you start. First, I didn't like it that much but now it is getting really good. It took a couple chapters.
