Description
This is a photo taken before auction of the actual handgun used for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Two guns were used for filming: stunt and Blank firing.
This is a Smith&Wesson .455 Hand Ejector II, barrel shortened. While filming in Africa .45 cal Blanks were impossible to find, so the prop master researched that Smith&Wesson's had been retooled and shipped to England for WWI and were able to use same bullets as the .455 Webley rounds.
