I've tried in vain to explain to people why I dislike Twilight and some of the replies I received were that because SM is a *published* author, that in turn makes her a good one. Ergo, because I'm currently unpublished that would logically make me a bad one, right?Not necessarily. It just means I haven't found a publisher for my book(s) yet. So yeah, Twilight and SM aside, I think this point still stands.

You make a valid point. One could also counter argue that just because we are alike in that respect doesn't necessarily qualify us as being sane but rather we both could be insane.

I recall someone telling me that the publisher of Twilight mainly published books in a foreign language (French or Japanese I think) and were just started to publish books in English.

I laughed at the irony myself. My Twilight buddy thinks that a bunch of the errors may have been the editors. If English wasn't their first language they could have made the errors after SM submitted it. He said "Midnight Sun" or whatever the frig that other story of SM's is that's she's been whining about for getting leaked, that apparently didn't contain as many errors as the published books.

Yeah, I haven't read anything more of SM's other than Twilight and New Moon. That was enough. It still pisses me off how she's taking the easy way out. "HEy, let's 'write' a story that I already wrote, but this time have it from a different character's point of view! I can make a boatload of cash that way with minimal effort."
I actually did toy with that concept, albeit *very* briefly. I thought it would be some good character development and whatnot but I couldn't justify redoing a plot I already wrote. I can't even begin to describe the wrongness of it all.

I thought of it almost right after the first book was written and had no idea what else I could write for NC plot wise. But now that I know I'll keep writing and this is something I want to do, I don't need to rewrite NTDOS because they'll be plenty more books to get more insight into the minor characters' heads. And that's that short story novella thing I want to do which will be a collection of original short stories from various characters' points of view.
