Oil on canvas, 2022.The name is something someone said to me after a few dates. Their expectations and the reality of who I was and how I acted were very different. So much so that I would purposely get slightly intoxicated or high when we would hang out in order for me to be the way they wanted me to be, which was less awkward and more relaxed and confident.
Obviously, that didn't work out.
