Description
Here we are guys, the long and awaited ship that was due to come, the EDF Andromeda, or at least, my attempt at it. Eventually the EDF Arizona will make it's true debut, but for now, it's variations of the Arizona, Dreadnought, and now the Andromeda for now.Related content

Indeed, the Excelsior of Space Battleship Yamato, though the EDF Andromeda gladly never suffered engine failure like Excelsior did, lol

But there's a difference between engine blowing up due to Scotty, and being blown up in the line of duty.

Excelsior never blew up, she was just temporarily taken out of service for repairs, hints why she appeared in the last TMP movie, helping the Enterprise-A take out a Klingon Bird of Prey, captained by Sulu.

Didn't do anything though. I was practically screaming, "SHOOT THE ROTATING SECTION YOU STORMTROOPER QUALIFIED IDIOTS!"

If I recall from the original anime, the spinning section was not visible to the fleet at Jupiter, just blasted through them showing the comet/asteroid side.

In the original anime the rotating section was visible, for both realities of that particular arc.

Had they fired there it would've likely been over and the Yamato solo fighting it would be irrelevant. Like completely irrelevant.

Eh, I blame the fancy fracturing wave motion gun the Andromeda had

It wasn't that. The dispersal type of wave gun wasn't the problem. It was the fact that its guns were trained on the wrong part of the target.
