THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!After having to do all thsoe commissions, this was an AWESOME break for me!! I've been SUPER inspired by and her picture Storm Warning lately, and I decided to do this!
I know there's still stuff I need to work on, but I'm very satisfied with what I have. No backstory to this, just RD being awesome.
Just a quick over view: this is a lined picture, but I went in and detailed the body and lines. I've never actually tried putting lines on a detailed picture before, and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out!

Well, I work in Manga studio (but I saw you work in SAI, that works very similarly). I put flat colors in (for this pic it was the shadow, since that was the most used color on her) then go over with a pretty large brush and add the edge lighting. If you look closely though, the shading really isn't that smooth. On a pony, I don't think very smooth looks realistic (as realistic as MLP gets XD), so I leave the edges a bit choppy to give it that furry look. (The fine lines of highlight, like on parts of the wings, are the lines that I just went over and colored.)
