It was time for some wild animal drawing again...and I am very pleased with the outcome of this one!
( Modest me! 
) The fur took absolutely ages, but it was worth the effort and I think I got the background done very nicely too! I love fawns and I just do not know why i never painted one before...Hope you like this as much as I do!

Thanks so much! :blowksis: Yes, the fur is all watercolours. Lots of layering with a thin and long 0 brush! It took me ages....

Another gorgeous, brilliantly detailed, painting, I do love this one! I’ve never painted a fawn before either and I must say for your first go you did an exceptional job. Your darks and lights are perfect but what I mostly like is the theme, in my work I tend to forget themes and/or stories but I’m working on that! You truly are an inspiration

Sorry for the late reply...hot press is an extra satiny smooth surface that allows you to paint or draw fine details. You can use ink pens and even coloured pencils to add details witout the rough, grainy effect!
