Finally went to Social Security to change my name with them this morning. Painless trip, I might add. I don't know why I always think it's going to be a nightmare in there. The clerk was very polite and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. Awesome.
In other news, as I was walking home I passed two guys sitting on their stoop talking to each other. Just as I walked by, I got whistled at for the first time. I can see how that would become annoying and unwanted very quickly. Today though, I was okay with it. Looking at this positively, it means I don't just pass; I'm apparently hot. I'll take that.
In the future, that kind of thing will probably be met with eye-rolling and faster walking. Just this once though, I feel pretty good.
And I wish a wonderful day to you as well. ^_^

To be honest...you are becoming an attractive young lass if I do say so myself. I wish I was half as cute/pretty as you.

I'd be happy if some guys catcalled me. I mean, so long as that's all they did. I mean, no one has ever accused me of being hot. I mean I can see why most girls wouldn't like it and well...
I'm weird, okay...

Ugh. My times at SS have been anything but! My SS office is so incredibly anti-trans that it's down right scary any time I have to go there.
As for gross men doing gross things... I had a guy try getting me to perform sexual favors on him at a bus stop Saturday... I'm not even entirely sure if I really passed or not, just that this guy was seriously gross.
It was like... I was at Toledo Pride and I went to the bus stop kinda early cuz I was getting cold and I knew the bus stop had covered areas for waiting for the bus to come... While wandering around trying to keep warm while trying to figure out the bus schedule this dude comes up and is like "you waiting for a bus or for me". I didn't take the hint right away but was like "The bus" and he leaves me alone for a little longer. Later I'm asking everyone at the stop if anyone knows of any public restrooms nearby (I REALLY had to pee!) And this guy is like, tries to get me to go out in the open behind the building. (No one knew of any ACTUAL restrooms though, so I'm stuck holding it most of the rest of the night). At this point I'm cluing in and move to a different block. AND HE FOLLOWED ME. And then he's like "it's too bad I don't really have any time, of course, you're pretty enough..." and all sorts of stuff I'm trying really hard not to pay attention to and then, "how about it, right now?" and I'm like "no." And he's like "how much?" And I'm like "no". And he's just on and on "how long you need" and crap. And I'm getting very frightened and see a bus with my route number but wrong letter come up and am like... Well... The bus took me about 15 minutes by car from home instead of only 5 minutes by foot, but I called my folks and had one of them get me from there. There was just NO WAY I was staying at that bus stop any longer! While waiting for my parents outside the mall (where the bus dropped me off) I somehow slipped into JC Penny's even though they were closed and asked for a restroom... One of the girls referred to me as "he" while the others by "she" so I really don't know what was going on that night at all. I did get to use the restroom though! OMG that was awful!

XD I dunno I can sort of understand giving them a pass, even if it is kind of sleazy of them its nice to know your attractive especially from someone who isn't 'obligated' to say you are. Congrats on everything though, its great that things have been falling into place for you! Here's hoping that things keep going your way!~

Glad to hear things are going well for you.
Thinking about it, you have to wonder why certain guys wolf whistle at all given that this is the first time I've ever seen anyone take it as a compliment.

You lucky girl, you. My trip to the Social Security Office took two hours. Although I did have a wonderful conversation with an older woman who said that in her 15 years on disability, that was the worst she'd ever seen it. So, I just hit the worst possible day. The DMV was great, though.
As for the whole whistling thing, yeah, honestly the most I've gotten was a person on Steam basically complimenting me, and then it devolved into some rather horrific comments. There's also a few truck drivers at my security job that have... kinda given me that look. You know the one, I'm sure. It's flattering, but kinda terrifying at the same time since I work quite late at night and alone.

That's good to know, I feel the same way when ever I have to deal with any government office like that but it good to know that you got in and out fast. Also it is weird how things like people whistling at you van be a good things in same cases.

I got winked at on holiday while presenting as female. Not got any of the hormones or stuff yet, but it was a good feeling knowing I can pass easily. I can see why you were happy with that this day

Got catcalled walking down a street by a redneck in a pick up truck.
Mixture of flattery, disgustedness, and annoyance.

when i was traveling to clear stuff with my healthinsurance i had to pass a constructionsite, and the workers there actually acted in the stereotypical way: whistling and stuff.
I had to pass there twice...
they seriously do that. its so stereotypical that it should have some sort of time-space effect...
had to get used to have random guys stare at my ass aswell. men are pigs. (not all of them, we know that, but some try to prove really hard that they are)

I know that feeling. It's kind of flattering actually...I've had my ass slapped by a total stranger before. I was both infuriated and incredibly flattered ^_^.
Off Topic note, I'm planning on getting Tales of Xillia fairly soon, how does it play? I just finished Graces F about a week ago.

No such thing as a bad compliment, even if it's a kinda-crude one like a whistle.
