Description
Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee come out tomorrow. So I decided to just whip up this little quickie, featuring Maya from Moonlight Wanderers dressed as the Let's Go female trainer, along with her Popplio, Tsukiko, dressed as an Eevee. Can you guess which version I'll be getting? XDIt's funny, my hype has been mostly directed at Smash over the last few months, so although I've been looking forward to Let's Go, I haven't really thought about it much since it was announced. But like the crazed Pokefan that I am, once I realized it was coming out this week, my hype shot through the roof. Hence, fanart! It looks like my copy won't be delivered until the weekend though, so I probably won't be playing as soon as tomorrow. Soon though, soon!
Oh, and the background is just a straight rip from the game.
Anyone else looking forward to this one? If so, which version will you be getting? ^_^

I got Eevee and I’ve been playing most of the day yesterday. I’ll admit it’s an adjustment with having no proper wild battles (as I’m one of those that goes crazy with the grinding) and I’m learning how to toss the pokeball to the side of the screen when a Pokémon decides to be a little turd and move around

Neither, but it might be interesting to see some playthroughs online.

Im not super hyped about these games, mostly cause its ANOTHER gen 1 remake. Kanto was fine, but can we just move forward? That being said, when i do get a Switch, ill get this game. But im looking forward to gen 8 being announced

I am on the fence on getting this game or not.. I don't have a Nintendo Switch (but have been lookin' into getting one).. and I don't play Pokemon Go (because, consoles ftw!)
aaaaaand this is like the what? 10th or 12th game going to Kanto?.. even then I still have a few issues with the Kanto region... must repress memories of Sabrina owning m...
ANYWAYS... the reviews are out. and gameplay footage from the finished product looks solid..
For starters, they took out random pokemon battles, replacing it with trying to hone your inner Baseball pitcher in trying to throw a fricken curveball or change-up just to nab a pokemon.. I heard they balanced out the EXP gain though to compensate for that (but I'd honestly prefer to try out my pokemon in the wild and do some switch training before I face a trainer)..
They also took out held items and abilities. Its basically Gen1 rules of battle with the Gen7 Type matchups.. This, and I might anger a few folks here, I don't like. Held items have often been the difference between winning a battle and losing one, especially in a competitive aspect. Same with Abilities, they added a strategic aspect that focuses trainers to stratergize, plus a few Megas and alola variants were defined by said abilities.
I'm unsure how difficult this game is or will be though, i'll admit... Judging from the target, I would assume this game would be easy, but at the same time, I worry that the starter, which ideally you build your team around, will face harsh demerits for not being able to evolve.
Anyone know if the entry hazard moves like Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes gonna show up here?
The game sounds and looks good, but that's also a byproduct of it being on a console.

I’ve found that stealth rock has shown up in battle a couple of times so I’m assuming similar moves to it will also show up. I totally get your misgivings on this to an extent but keep in mind that this game is supposed to draw in the Go crowd and give them a taste of what a Pokémon game is like before the next gen. Also, as a veteran of the series, this game is easy if you take the time to catch Pokémon and battle any and alol trainers whenever you can and level up the starter (which by the way is stronger than you think, with the special moves you can teach them from an outside source). I got the Eevee version of the game and she’s actually my strongest on the team with a wide variety of a moveset to compensate the lack of ability to evolve.

Here's another reason why i'm prolly not going to get the game.
no console to play it on.
I don't have a switch, so I'm lookin' at a $300 price point first for the console

There is something wrong with that Eevee...
...But I'm not sure what.
Maybe it's a new evolution? XD.
