Loonatics - Rip RisingFOR ALL RIP RUNNER FANS!!!
This is a scene of Rev Runner's younger brother Rip Runner suiting up as a Loonatic. Many other fanartists have unanimously chosen blue as Rip's color. I will not elaborate on Rip's powers or when or how he got it. Most fans have their own ideas and I'll leave it up to your imagination.
Rip is putting on each of the separate garments handled to him by Tech. He just placed the left tri-communication gauntlet. This then activates the diffusion field that alters the wearer's fur/skin/feather/hair to that of the primary uniform's color. In this case blue. I made the effect of the blue color pass over Rip's natural violet feathery hand.
Unknown to everyone else in Tech's lab, Rev is a bit jealous and peaved of the whole idea of his brother becoming a member of the Loonatics. One reason, Rip will be working along side Tech for strategic operations and weapons development.
Another reason, is that Rip has chosen (unitentionally of course) the color BLUE, the color of the Legendary Road Runner. Only a few roadrunners like Rev knows of this. A bit unsettling, since Rev first was offered the blue uniform, but turned it down in respect to Road Runner until he was ready to wear the honorary color.NOTE: I had about several different sketch poses done for Rip and couldn't come up with a good one that would show his excitment and also show the color transformation. It was only until I watched an old episode of Swat Kats and saw Razor suiting up and saw that was perfect!
Also, I have no clue of how the Loonatics uniforms work. I do assume they "take it off" when they are in their civi clothes. Or perhaps its the opposite and they are in fact have the same color fur/feathers as their uniform after the meteor strike and Tech devised a holographic unit to simulate their former selves. Thank you for your comments! I hope to read you stories soon! Come to think of it, I think one of Rip's powers would be his inviso stealth powers aka "What am I... invisible?" To activate, he just slouches like he always do, pretends to put his hinds in his imaginary pockets and just walks casually through security without anyone or maching seeing him.

Actually, I kinda imagine him with some sort of Echo-location feature to match his brother's GPS. But thats just my opinion. Don't know what his main power would be though...

Awesome! I'm sick of hearing all over the place that Loonatics Unleashed is a bad show. It's one of my favourites, and Rip is one of my favourite characters. It would be so amazing if he became one of the Loonatics!

Thank you very much! I think most people are hating it for the wrong reasons. First off, the Loonatics are their own characters. They may be "decendents" of the original Looney Toons, but they are not the Looney Toons characters as superhereos. Still the show is not all perfect. It could be more than just action/adventure/humor. Because of the show is still being perceived as Looney Toons as superheros, the writers draw the line of it not being too violent or becoming more of anime. I do hope there will be more character development and additional cast.

I've talked to so many people who say that the show is a rip-off of the original Looney Tunes, but with superpowers, and they won't be convinced otherwise. I wish they would give the show a chance.
And I hope for the same thing. As much as I enjoy the show, the characters seem, to me, to have little personality. And the show definately needs more characters.

Incrediable! when I look at this I keep having to remind myself it's art work and not an actual still shot from the serise. It's that realisitic, you should go into doing animations or better yet go and work for the creators of Loonatics, I thick you'd really excel at it. I've only resently got into the serise myself, and I've enjoyed alot of the episodes, and I've grown to really like Tech he reminds me slightly of Donotello from TMNT. Keep these Loontic and Teen Titan pics coming there really good.

There are no words to describe the awesomeness of this pic, but... it looks truly amazing! The concept behind it isn't bad either. Rev never struck me as the jealous type, but I guess there's sibling rivalry, that and the fact that Rip's going to be working close to Tech. I find it amusing that Rip will probably be completely oblivious of this jealousy.

How'd you read my brother's mind? He had the EXACT same theory about how their outfits worked! Ah, well. Great minds think alike, I suppose. Anyway, just wanted to say that this makes me squeal with glee. I actually thought it was a screen-cap at first glance. That's how bang-on you were in drawing this; the characters look exactly the way they do in the show. Oh, but there's just one thing I wanted to point out. Rev's beak is shown here as being its usual colour (orange), when it should be pale red. Sorry, just thought I should mention that. Not that it detracts from the piece at all, though. Well done!

Wasn't Rip the original name of Rev before the public rioted with fire-and pitchfork?
In the show, there's an epi where the gang 'vacations' on the holo-deck, powered by poor Rev on a stationary. When he stops pedaling, their natural colors remain, so I'm going to assume that for whatever reason (most likely yours) the suits make the candy coating!

Thanks! I believe credit is due, the idea for why Rev felt unworthy to wear blue was inspired by your stories on FF.net of the desert sapiens legend of the original RoadRunner.
