Description
My entry for the Legend of Zelda-Link's Blacklist tribute from Game Arts-HQ [link]Koloktos is a boss from Skyward sword wich is guarding the Ancient Cistern dungeon. Otherwise deactived is Ghiraim who brings the massive contraption back to life with his cursed magic one last time in order to defeat Link.
This animated armor has two distinctive forms. The first being the one as I depicted above! After Link with his trusty whip defeats the monster pulling his arms off, the automaton will reunite all his parts and pull himself out of the ground chasing Link with 6 huge swords!
I can tell you that this boss became one of my favourites and made me appreciate the wiimotion plus very much. The moment that I though to sweep the legs of Koloktos my body just reacted like I was using a real sword and it worked!It really worked! It was definitely one of many amazing moments that I had with this game!
As usual I used a regular 2 HB pencil on a white A3 paper, black ink pens for the tracing and coloured it on photoshop.It took me a couple days I guess.

I actually had to draw a couple of skecthes of koloktos and the dungeon room first, y'know because of all the details and whatnot.But I still think that the colouring process was the part that confused me more because of all the layers!

In the game, as you may well know, there's bosses even bigger than Koloktos so I tried not to go overboard with his height! And I also had trouble with him, specially when he came running after me!

OMG I love you so hard right now. ONLY thing that could make this better would be Link swinging around Kloktos' sword.

Can you believe that initially I thought on doing that!!XD
But the goal was to depict Koloktos and if I made Link swinging around the boss arm or sword, the hero of time would end up being the center of atention of the piece turning the giant contraption into the background.At least that's what I thought!^_^'

wow this is amazing, the coloration is so good and I love how it's still visible that the lineart is traditional.
It kinda feels like a comic page, the moment Link faces his enemy, the cliffhanger at the end of the chapter. Or the chapter cover.
