Description

Joey walks into his apartment that he lives in and shouts, "Ruth! I'm home!" No answer, just weeping he hears. He notices the weeping coming from the bedroom where it's in the hallway next to the kitchen that's next to the front door Joey's standing in as the living room is at front of him. He takes a corner turn into the hallway on the left where the bedroom is located and sees Ruth sitting on the bed they sleep in, facing towards the wall with the window that is dark outside at night. Joey walks slowly to the room while looking at her with a worried face. He asks softly, "Ruth... are you.. okay?" Ruth has her head down and her hands covering her face. She looks up and turns her head halfway at Joey with one eye and closes her eyes with tears. Joey continues to stare at her and question, "Babe, what's the matter? Why are you.. just sitting here crying all alone?" Ruth doesn't answer and sobs.

In about five seconds, she finally turns to Joey and questioned back, "Joey..why haven't you talked to me? It's almost been a week, and I called you a thousand times and you never answered! Why haven't you answered my calls while you were away at New York?!" Joey took a pause and corrects her with, "Babe, I just been busy.. you know how it's hard for me to be able to talk to you when I was away for my business?" Ruth doesn't care about that and screams, "EXCUSES! THIS IS WHY WE ALWAYS ARGUE, YOU COME UP WITH STUPID EXCUSES!" She screamed with anger and sadness within her. Joey yells, "RUTH! Look, I'm sorry! I just... didn't find the time to talk! I-It was... oh my god *sigh*." He turns around and takes some steps with his hands on his head sliding to his eyes. He groans and says, "I get it.. you were worried about me. But.. I'm fine!" Ruth interrupts him, "How would I know if you're fine?! What if something happened?! That's why I was worried! I DIDN'T KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON PERSONALLY WITH YOU WHEN YOU WERE OVER AT NEW YORK!" "Babe, Babe, Babe, listen.. it was my bad, I didn't knew you'd be that worried about me--" Joey tried to calm her down. But Ruth continues, "YOU DIDN-- UGH! IT'S LIKE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS LIKE THIS TO ME, JOEY!"

Joey took another pause. He bites his lip and said, "I'm sorry.. I just.. I just" He stuttered as he couldn't come up with the right words to tell Ruth. She sobs and turned her head away from Joey. He finally said, "I just had my mind somewhere else. But it's not like you think.." Ruth stayed silent and didn't wanted to look at Joey. "Don't think I don't pay attention to you, I rap about you. I did a little verse with Songbird, and it was about you.." Joey continued, as Ruth still stood silent. "I always think about you when I rap, and come up with lyrics about you. Like that one when I did that song 'Want you back' with Kit." Ruth mumbled, " I know.." Joey corrects, "Of course you know! It was all about you! I just think.. you worry about me so much!" Ruth finally looks at Joey with a depressed face, she slightly opens her mouth and said, "What do you mean?" Joey answers, "You worry so much that.. I start worrying about you. Not because that I don't see you, but the empathy that I feel when you worry! You're overwhelming yourself with this drama, and yes, we argue so much! And it's.. I'm really sick of this hate that we have" Ruth says, "I don't hate you, I never hate you.." she tears. Joey wipes her tear in her face with his thumb and said, "I know that.. And I don't either.. I love you with all of my heart!" Ruth smiles a little, "Thanks.. babe.. I love you too." Then they kissed and looked at each other, Joey then said "I'll cook us dinner, how about some chicken?" Ruth smiling and replied, "Okay, thanks!"
