Kit has been a childhood friend to Joey for several years. She pretty much knows him too well like a sister. But because of that, she is forced to be in the friendzone with him, and for the longest time, she has a crush on him. I can't say for certain that Joey might feel the same way yet, but Kit does feel strong emotions towards him.
But, in the Knikings story, when Ruth enters Joey's love life, Kit tries to brush it off, and she does attempt to be best friends with Ruth. But she just can't stop feeling jealous that Ruth has Joey.
