I see the proportion problem.. His head doesn't seem to fit the body.. I know you like the comic style.. but his head seems a bit small.. along with the neck. A thick body would also possess a broad neck..

Anyways... well I don't know I dissagree about the more armour stuff. I think the whole taking them on without much aid is cooler. But there seems to be some kind of proportion problem. I can't really pin it down though. Maybe its his chest. It might need to be bigger or something, and of course more defined abs

Yeah, he should probably have gauntlets instead of the wristband and a chestplate, if you want to keep the tattoo though then maybe give him something close to a scale like armor that only goes over one side of the cest or just give him a more scale like skin. That sword might havce to go, maybe a large rustic axe -emphasis on large- The rustic feature will make it look more worn and give him more of a battle ego. Yeah that would work, then you could have a right shoulderplate so that he could rest on it lost the rest of the commment.... >.>

Well.. Definatly more armor.. Instead of that little wrist thing.. You know.. gauntlets, chest plate.. the whole nine.. and as for the weapon.. maybe bigger..? You're character seems to have a lot of upper body mass, giving the indication that he can swing around a claymore if he wished to. The "buster" blade seems a bit feeble for his build. And really until I see some color on an update.. not much I can suggest.. It will be interesting to see the color skin and the blend of the tattoo, along with the armor you may add.
