I drew this as a practice in texture drawing. I used a 6H and 2B pencil to do it. I obviously used the grid technique to get placement and proportion correct. It's an old Roman coin (denarius) from 49 BC. It could probably use better contrast, what do you think? Anyway, I'm not sure how long it took me to draw. Several hours at least. Not a bad sketch for an amateur.
