Leon Scott Kennedy is a character from the Resident Evil series of games. He made his first appearance as one of the protagonists of Resident Evil 2, released in 1998. In that game, he is a rookie cop who arrives at Raccoon City and finds it overrun by zombies and other creatures. He teams up with Claire Redfield, a college student looking for her brother Chris, and tries to escape the city while uncovering the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation and its bioweapons.
