You weren't quite sure where it came from, but Jumanji seemed like a harmless video game, something that might distract you for a few minutes before you got bored and found something else to do. But as soon as you hit start, you discovered it was much more than that. You found yourself transported to a strange jungle with no idea how to get out. And in someone else's body.A display appeared after you tapped your chest, calling you Jake Davenport, Master Mesmerist. You were the character you chose in the game. Your listed strengths include charm, seduction, and hypnotism. Your weakness is combat. "Great", you think to yourself. "Trapped in a video game and my weakness is fighting. How lame is this?"

Cameron smiles at Ruby, who had a dazed but contented look in her eyes, her face shining with Cameron's fluids. Cameron is panting hard.* "Well done Ruby!" Cameron exclaims between breaths.*

Ruby is thrilled with the praise. She's worked hard to get it. Her focus is completely on Cameron and how wonderful they both now feel. The fact that they're trapped in a video game, and that Ruby is in a body that is not her own, and that her name isn't even Ruby, has completely slipped her mind. Only Cameron is in her thoughts. Cameron and the amazing experience they've just shared.

After hearing you talk, Ruby quickens her pace toward you. "No, I'm real! Did you get sucked into this game too? It's so nice to meet another actual person!" The more she talks, the more excited she seems to get.

"Yeah, I got sucked into the game. It was on in the back room and I chose the only available character left." I look at you and extend my hand. "I'm Victoria by the way.... Or well... Jake in the game I guess...." My tone is more depressed because of the character situation. "Are there others in here, since four out of five characters were taken?"

"I'm Joan, but in here it looks like I'm Ruby, slayer of men." She says the last part almost proudly. "It's nice to meet you Victoria. Sorry you got stuck as a guy. But at least you're fully clothed." Joan looks down at her outfit. "Seriously, who wears a tank top and short shorts in the jungle?!"
Joan sighs, realizing there's no use in complaining about her outfit now. "I never thought about there being anyone else here, but you're right. If we look around maybe we can find some other players."

"Joan? Joan? Joan...." I say, acting like I'm trying to place the name. I then remember there's a cute brunette named Joan that sits in front of me in Biology. "Ny any chance, do you have Biology in room 202 during third period?" I say as I follow Ruby through the Jungle. I first wonder if these attributes will come in handy for one thing. And for another, I also try to figure out if hypnotizing Joan/Ruby here would hypnotize her in the real word.

"Um... yeah, right, that's my class." Joan is a little embarrassed that she didn't know Victoria's name, but she hopes she masked it well. "So you're that girl from Biology class? Well at least I'm stuck here with someone I know." She flashes what she hopes is a kind smile. She didn't exactly know Victoria, but she saw her enough times around school.

"You can be honest with me." I groan as I climb over some brush as we look for anyone... anything else. "You don't know me that well. Like you, I'm one of the brainiacs in our class.... but, unless you've ever been in one of the SAFE LGBTQ club meetings, I've probably just been a blur to you." I say before kneeling over in pain. Climbing over the brush as a girl trapped in a man's body my not have been the best idea. "How... do guys.... put up.... with this.... junk...." I cringe as I wait for my in-game stamina to recover.

"Yeah... I feel like I can be honest with you." They hardly ever talked in class, and they just started talking here a few minutes ago, but for some reason Joan felt like she could tell Victoria anything, she was so comfortable around her.
"If you're really that smart, I should have paid more attention to you in class. I need all the help I can get." At the mention of the LGBTQ club, Joan starts to blurt out that she'd have no reason to join that kind of club, but something makes her hold back. There's no reason to bring that up, she supposes.
Joan laughs at Victoria's discomfort. "I'd take some junk down there any day if it meant I was fully clothed." She smacks another insect that lands on her belly. "Seriously, I wish one of my strengths was dress sense." Though Joan had to admit, it was nice that Ruby was in great shape. She was getting around this jungle easily, without being the least bit tired.

I notice Joan's willingness to be honest and wonder if that's because of my character's attributes. I also realize that I never mentioned that my character is a master hypnotist, charmer, etc... I grin while recovering from the pain. "Well... at least this character is in decent shape... I'd much rather be back in my body..." I think about my fit, slender body. Being on the girls lacrosse and swimming teams really keeps me in shape.
I get up and walk towards Ruby/Joan. "Joan can I try something?" I ask with a sincere voice. I put my hand on her shoulder and look into her eyes. I figure, if we're stuck in the game, might as well make an attempt to change her mind.

Joan was about to ask if Victoria's character had any special skills, but was caught by surprise as Victoria puts a hand on her shoulder. She already trusted Victoria, so she decides to hear her out. "Wha... What did you have in mind?"

"I want to make you less flustered. Please, look deeply into my eyes Joan." I say calmly and soothingly. I don't know how my character's hypnosis attributes work, but I guess that it has to be something like the stereotypical hypnosis that the game developer has to have researched. So, eye fixation seems like a logical guess.

Joan isn't sure about this. It feels like they should be trying to get out of this game. "Are you sure this is a good idea? Shouldn't we keep looking for other players? Or a way out of here?" Despite her words, she finds her eyes drawn to Victoria's. She suddenly feels much calmer.

“We will soon Joan. Right now, you want to listen to everything I say.” I’m almost caught off guard with how hypnotic and captivating my voice is becoming. I assume that hypnosis moves quickly in the game because the developers know how short attention spans are. “And... you will believe everything I am about to say Joan.”

As Joan becomes more fixated on Victoria's eyes, she begins to assume a blank expression. "want to listen to everything you say... believe everything you are about to say..."

I think to myself, ‘holy shit this is working.’ “Joan, you will stop complaining about being in a tank top, realizing that it is only slowing us down from escaping. Understand?” I figure that I will at least make some of the hypnosis useful to the predicament that we find ourselves in. I can’t benefit from it if we’re stuck in a video game forever.

“Good... good...” I then smirk. “Joan, I want you to think about the girl that sits behind you in Bio, Victoria. You’ve never admitted it, but you have always found the blonde to be kind of cute... do you understand?” I try to keep my excitement to a minimum. Knowing that we are in a video game, I have no idea if I am just hypnotizing Ruby or if this will actually affect Joan.

"Yes... I always found her kind of cute..." Joan/ Ruby begins to smile, though you can't tell if it's the effect of staring at your eyes, or the new thoughts your suggestion is placing in her mind.

I take the smile as a good sign. “Now Joan, you never thought of yourself as someone who might be a lesbian....” I trail off as I try to be specific enough that she understands. “... but, you will find yourself falling in love with Victoria’s personality and brains while we’re trapped in this game. When we break free from the game, you will kiss me in your excitement and realize that you are in fact a lesbian. Understand?” I take a hesitant deep breath as I wait for Joan/Ruby to take in my suggestions.

"I... I will find myself falling in love with Victoria's personality and brains... I will kiss you when we break free of the game and realize I am... I am a lesbian" It takes Joan a little longer to reply this time, but she does eventually say the words and she seems firm when she does say them.

“Good Joan....” I bite my lip as I think of another idea. “You will also love to be hypnotized by me in real life...” I hear something in the distance and decide that it might be time to wrap this up.
“Now, you will remember the first part of this hypnosis, to ignore the fact that you are in a tank top. Everything else will remain in your subconscious. Awaken.” I snap my fingers. I immediately begin to pull Joan/Ruby through the jungle as I get what has to undoubtedly must be the end of the game and freedom.

"I will love to be hypnotized by you in real life" Joan instantly awakens as you snap your fingers and finds herself being pulled forward by you. She doesn't mind, though. She had always thought Victoria was kind of cute when she saw her in class, and as scary as being in this game has been, Joan liked that it was forcing her and Victoria to spend some time together. She did begin to wonder where Victoria was leading her though.
"Um... are you sure you know where you're going?"

“I have no idea.... but the game won’t let me walk backwards....” I shout as we continue to run. We avoid different obstacles that the game sends us, monkeys, rhinos, men with guns, etc. Eventually we end up at a draw bridge that is locked in the up position. Only a completed puzzle will unlock it.

Joan examines the puzzle, then give Victoria a look of admiration. "Well, you've gotten us through every other obstacle this place threw at us. This is just one more thing for your magnificent brain to overcome."

I start to solve the puzzle when we hear two other male characters screaming. ‘Wait! Don’t leave without us!’ I turn and look and recognize the other characters. “Well, Now it looks like it needs...” I turn an object and we hear some clanking noises and the bridge lowers slightly. “... four keys.” I look at the others and at my character’s body. I take the glasses off and it fits in one of the slots. I look back at the others, “quick, put something that doesn’t fit in a slow!”

Wow. It looks like Victoria has figured out how to pass another obstacle. She is so smart! Joan wonders how she would have possibly gotten this far without Victoria. Every time it looked like Joan would have to use her fighting skills, Victoria came up with a better solution. She sure is lucky that Victoria came along.
But now Joan needs to figure out what to put in that slot. She looks down at her clothing. It really is amazing that she wasted all that time earlier complaining about her outfit. All that complaining really did was slow them down. And now that she thinks about it, is it really such a bad thing that she looks sexy? Certainly not if it means Victoria pays more attention to her. Not only was she vital for finding their way through this place, she was also really fun to talk to. It's been so much easier to stay calm, knowing that Victoria was by her side.
But Joan had to stop daydreaming about Victoria, as much fun as that was. They have to get past this puzzle. Joan takes off the only thing she really can, her gloves, and finds that they fit perfectly in the nearby slot.

The puzzle unlocks and the draw bridge lowers completely. We run across, the bridge falling into pieces as we near the exit. Suddenly, it seems like the entire game around us is disappearing as we begin to pixelize. I scream as I'm practically spit out of the game. I fall onto the floor of the old storage room, and roll into the back room. I groggily sit up and look around, seeing Joan and the others.

Completely ignoring the others, Joan looks around for Victoria, compelled by some strange urge that she doesn't really understand. After spotting Victoria, she runs over to her and plants a big kiss right on her lips. But after pulling back, Joan looks embarrassed. "I'm sorry Victoria, I don't know why I did that. I guess I was just excited to see you." But that's not entirely true. Joan can't remember ever liking girls in the past, but her growing feelings for Victoria can only mean thing. Joan was now absolutely certain that she was a lesbian.

I blush deeply. “Umm.... I’m not dreaming, am I?” I look at the guys that also got spit out of the game. “Did She just kiss me?” I look back a Joan with a silly smile. “My crush just kissed me....” I say with a giddy excitement. Everyone must think it’s because Joan kissed me. Meanwhile, I know that it’s because the hypnosis worked and that Joan loves it when I hypnotize her.
