This is the third and fourth story arcs of season 2 of Viva Las Vegas, titled "Till Death..." and "The Decision". In the first part of the story, the "Till Death..." arc, 16 year old Hannah Dewey is revealed to be pregnant. However, the father, a 19 year old boy named Curtis Wayne, was killed in a motorcycle crash only hours after conception. When confronted by her father, Hannah panics and names Jake Shepard, a 17 year old boy who has had a crush on Hannah since the two first met in kindergarten, as the father. Due to a combination of being intimidated by her father and his unrequited crush on Hannah, Jake agrees to marry her. In the second part of the story, the arc "The Decision", a couple weeks after the wedding, Hannah's pregnancy turns out to be a false alarm. However, in those two weeks, Hannah has genuinely developed feelings for Jake, and comes clean, saying that he wasn't actually the father, and reveals to her parents the actual identity of who would have been the father had she actually been pregnant. Having developed feelings for Jake, Hannah comes clean, and admits that she lied about him being the father. She then admits she realized that she does love Jake, and as such, agrees to divorce him, not wanting to leave him trapped in a marriage born of false pretenses. Jake doesn't agree to the divorce, on the grounds that Hannah offering to divorce him due to the circumstances of their marriage as proof she does love him. He also reveals that he couldn't have been the father, since his first time having sex was when he and Hannah consummated their marriage. He argues that if she's willing to set him free, that's proof enough she loves him, and since she loves him, and he loves her, they should make an honest effort to make the marriage work before he would even think about agreeing to a divorce. The final episode of the arc, titled "Whatever Happened to Jake and Hannah?", takes place 5 years later, and shows Jake and Hannah happily married, with Hannah visibly pregnant.

TRIVIA ABOUT THIS ARC:

1. Officially, "Till Death..." is considered Hannah Dewey's arc, while "The Decision" is considered Jake Shepard's arc.
2. In a case of life imitating art, Jessica Hutchinson and Alan Mathis, fell in love while recording their dialogue.
3. The scene where Jake and Hannah discuss making their marriage work while he paints her toenails was inspired by Jessica Hutchinson, most notably, the fact she arrived at the studio the first day of recording dialogue for the arc. She had been wearing leather thong sandals, and her toenails were painted.
4. Even though this storyline involves a teenage pregnancy, the only time sex is actually mentioned is when Jake mentions that when he and Hannah consummated their marriage is his first time.
5. This is the only arc to feature an entire episode that takes place outside the city of Las Vegas, New Mexico. The final episode, Whatever Happened to Jake and Hannah?" shows that after Hannah graduated from high school, she and Jake moved to Albuquerque, where the episode takes place.
