Description

A.N: New format again for Fan Servant Content. Since I always have so much trouble making descriptions for my posts, I've just decided to include everything in the actual picture. I was actually requested this guy from over on my reddit account.

This servant was actually requested to me through directmessaging by u/AgionAgion with a base design provided KnightyNightey on DeviantArt. They specifically requested for me to draw Sir Constantine (Briton) , one of Arthur's Knights and the one who took over after the Battle of Camlann. I also tried out a new format for how I present these servants. Made a few mistakes in terms of text and the NP Card Background, but I think it turned out great overall.

For this servant, I based it off the original design provided by the requester but decided to do my own take on it. For the first ascension, I wanted to keep the appearance of abbey robes while also implying more knightly features with the armored shins and spear. For the second, I added more details from the provided design while extending the length of his, and decided to change his spear into a halberd. When I did the third ascension, I went and added way more armor to the design, especially in the gloves and and leg area. I also decided to add a crown to the design to give it a bit of flair, as he was a king for a short while.

The requester also provided some lore to go with this servant

Constantine was indeed a knight of the Round, present at Arturia's death. Out of all the knights, he was given the crown, finding himself previously unworthy. However, he took up the crown and fended off the Saxons, who used this chance to invade Britannia. Constantine was a good king, having fought and fended off the Saxons, making him by simply this a powerful fighter. But upon hearing of Mordred's "sons", he took up action. Morgan had created two clones of Mordred, both having not the same humanity as Mordred had and were simply bent on destroying Britannia. Constantine chased them down, crushing their armies and confronted them in a church in London. They assumed to be safe there, but Constantine was so determined to kill them, he ignored any risks and slayed them upon sacred ground. This made him be detested by divinity itself.

In terms of personality, Constantine knows very well that he is the disgrace among Arturia's kingship. According to history, he tried to keep the Round Table and its knights, but after Lancelots death and Arturia's, the others left, but the flower of Arthur's knighthood had either been slaughtered, moved to Gaul or entered the solitary life of a hermit. Meaning, he was by definition the "last" knight of the Round table. Before his death, the only thing he ever managed to accomplish was to retrieve the Sheath of Excalibur, but feeling unworthy of its power, he hid the treasure, hoping that one day, a much more worthy heir would rise. Only three years after his reign, he had defeated the Saxon invasion but lost everything. So when Aurelius Conanus, his nephew, tried to take the crown, he was relieved in some way, but he still fought, as the "Last Knight of the Round."

His NP, [Sanctuary Murder], it is based off his killing of Mordred's two "sons". In game, it works as a AOE noble phantasm that stops your opponent's NP from going off. In lore, It's maximum number of targets is two, and increases in strength if used in a place of worship or holy sanctuary.

Fun Fact: Upon first being summoned to Chaldea, he actually first hides his identity by posing as a priest, because he wishes to hide from the other knights of the round as he feels he no longer has a place with them. He still holds great respect for all of his fellow knights, but does find himself still chiding and getting into arguments with Lancelot and Mordred. He fights more with Mordred, though.

Am I the only one who wants Shotaro Ishinomori turned into one of these? Bonus: He’s not present in canon
