"The World I Used To Know"Ash and dust is all they left,
the fires ate my home,
smoke fills up my heavy chest,
the sound of birds is gone.
I walk along the riverside
and as I look below,
I see through tear-filled hazy eyes
the world I used to know.

Tyger Tyger, in the blight,
Forest's burning in the night;
What dumb mortal hand or eye,
Has wrought this dread asymmetry?
If you had done the cat as a jaguar instead of a tiger this would have been an amazing tribute to the tragedy of the burning Amazon rain forest!
BTW I do like your poem in the description a lot! It just reminded me of Blake's "The Tyger", so this came to mind instantly. I am going to post the jaguar version as a deviation now. thanks for the inspiration!

This is a beautiful piece of artwork on many levels.
It has relevance to the uncertain future of our planet. It's always hard to see side-by-side comparisons, whether it's real photographs or pieces of like this one.
I love the use of color and the contrast of those colors. I love how you darkened the scenery around the tiger slightly to have your focus be right there.
Also I really love tigers and this one is done amazingly well. You have a talent in more ways than one, but i'm always taken aback by all of your tiger drawings.
