Vic Sage was born the orphan Charles Victor Szasz after his mother died at birth and his father left with a hooker. The name Vic Sage was created when he turned over a new leaf later in life, starting a career in investigative journalism.

He became the Question after having his facial features wiped from his face - and most of his memories too - by the Seven Wizards of the Rock of Eternity, for his fate leads him to horrible sins.

Now he wanders the Earth, looking for the answers to who he is, and what his fate will be...
