Description
I offered to draw the image for the poster of upcoming Demoncon 10 - www.facebook.com/events/616904β¦10 being "X" in Roman numerals, the organisers wanted an X-Men theme, so I ran with a nod to one of the classic covers ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Days_of_β¦ ), replacing Wolverine with the event's mascot and the posters in the background with characters from comics created by other guests to the convention.

That's Dredd.
Starlord has always had goggles or goggle-shaped eyeholes in his helmet. Β He's never had a visor. Β Or the lower part of his face exposed.
Because, you know, space.

Dredd first wore that helmet to look grim. Later he wore it because his face was eaten by acid. He was also no friend to liberty.
