The problem with the cartels, is that they most definitively don't play fair. The Mexican army could probably beat them in a straight up fight, but how would one do that when it is likely to get your family and friends killed? Not to mention that they would not be fighting an army either. No front to send soldiers to, and hideouts are probably in populated areas, so large scaled operations could easily lead to large civilian casualties.
Don't think that the cartels are easy to get rid of, even with highly trained, and well armed american soldiers. Because all it takes, is for names to get leaked, and then it doesn't matter what training you have. Because your family would be in danger and you would be nowhere near to protect them. What the US could do, is aid Mexico in their desperate struggle, but it would involve a lot of precautions for the investigators involved, and their families.

This next thing I say will sound like shameless promoting of someone IΒ subjectively think is good at politics, but if you ever want to strengthen you knowledge about politics, economy and/or philosophy, and not have a one dimensional simple view of life like this retard VentAnger (who probably just watched too much Ben Shapiro or Steven Crowder), you should check out Destiny - Steven Bonnell, who unlike most of the political commentators engages in critical thinking, and after you watch couple of his debates, you will see that he is actually extremely logical (to the point that he will ignore spiritualism).
Sorry again, but he helped me out a lot, when i didn't know who and what to believe, and instead of instantly agreeing with him like I did with a lot of right leaning people that say things that sound nice, this guy does his research and then, indirectly,Β makes you think logically.
