And the naysayers wonder why I don't listen to them....You shouldn't either! If you feel in your gut that it's the right course of action; it usually is.
(.....unless your gut tells you to "go play in traffic". Cuz your gut's not telling you the right course of action, there. It's trying to kill you.)
Wonder where I'd be right now if I'd listened to those teachers and focused on learning all those important skills that I've never found a use for in the real world?
I'm guessing; Data Entry.

you got lucky, your able to do something you enjoy and make enough money for recreation. not all of us are so fortunate. i have lots of ideas.. but they are a mess in my head and i really cant draw for shit.

there is something to be said for change. But i love the way you draw. Plus, it's not just what you draw but the story that goes with some of it as well. (Battle Bunnies, Sequential Art, etc).

All through school, it was "STOP DRAWING IN CLASS."
...And then, here I am in college, and my SDV teacher sees me doodling a ginger gun-samurai, and goes "Oh, I'm glad to see you're doing this in class!"
I thought she was being sarcastic, so I apologized. However, she then made herself more clear... "No, it helps some kids absorb information better when they actually do something besides sit and listen."

That's what I hate about EVERYONE who's adult! Especially this is the same way my dad tells me his opinion about my drawings, that I always bury myself with my comics and that I don't have any style of drawing which pisses me off! Just look at my gallery? Do I really have no style in drawing?

I got this a lot growing up too ... I'm sure many of us did. Why? Because we were the non-conformists, the ones who dared dream of something different. What I have found interesting nowadays is my friends bitching about me not doing the "Married With Children" thing like so many have. You go into my place and it does look rather eccentric ... but I'm sure tame compared to many.
