Hmmm Well i really like the background ...and the lighting concepts in general.....and the attitude presented from only hints of color...
....MAybe there is a huge disparity between the contrast settings on our monitors...but i think the subject ( well ..the girl here ..often in your work i think you attempt to make the WHOLE piece the subject

I always love your work, its so beautiful and soulful. I want to fav them all!!! But I must ask, was her hair like that in the original stock or did you paint it in? And if you painted it in, how did you do it to look so realistic! You must tell me how!!!!
And the background is gorgeous as well. I love how the light shines through the trees, kind of like the light at the end of the tunnel to help you find your way home.

I really like this piece - the lighting is just beautiful, and I love how her hair is spilling over her face as her head is down. Excellent work, though my only complaint is the side of her corset - the light appears... very strong, but immediately gives way to black afterwards.

well, you know i don't know much about photography... but I can tell you what this image says to me...
there's a woman, bowed by sadness, regret, longing... lost and alone, her heart swells with dark emotion, seething and roiling beneath the beautiful experior shell...
...yet alone, in a place of beauty, a cathedral to the Earth herself...she is soothed, calmed at mother nature's breast as she finds... as long last... some measure of peace within herself.... alone in the forest.
...okay, i know..... silly emotional drabble. give me a break.. i just woke up. >.>

Love this piece.....really nice contrast between her and the light streeming through the trees behind.

her stance, with her arms behind her back is lovely, and sets the entire stage for her story.
the light behind her is so white and pure, and seems to be almost cleansing..
i love the way its being cast onto her corset, really nice job on that.
her face down..this is one of the things i love most about this,
and in most pieces that dont show faces..
it makes it so interchangable amog the viewer, like i can step
out of myself and insert my emotions and feelings directly into her..
i can be lost, and i can be found here..i can look at this and
fall completly in if i let myself..
i really also love the minimalistic quality this has..
in moments of being lost there isnt much there but you..
being lost within yourself..then in a sudden flash of bright
pure light..sometimes that clarity flashes before us..
something we cant deny, or try not to see..
it's a lovely work..and i apologize for rambling on..
sometimes i just try to look at art beyond what my eyes
are trying to show me..rather than glance at technicalities..
i like art that i can feel..and this is seeps emotion for me..

Nice work Ira, but my question is, one arm looks like she's sleeveless and the other arm looks like she has a ruffled sleeve?? And I would of kept the other arm colored too but that's just my preference. I love the lighting coming in from the trees, really nice job on that! Can you teach me how to do that?
