Hawk Moth senses Redmond and Spanx's petty argument and frustration at being chained together and the experimentation they were subjected to.

Hawk Moth: "Two animals of the opposites of the food chain being mistreated all the same. There's nothing synthetic about those emotions! Fly away my evil akuma and gives these two a vision to fight!"

The akuma enters the chain that attaches Redmond and Spanx together.

Hawk Moth: "Hyper and Silenter, I'm Hawk Moth! The humans have mistreated and misjudged for far too long. I'm giving you each the power to show them who are the dominate species!"

Redmond: "Oh, superpowers! Anything to get us separated and away from them!"

Hawk Moth: "And what about you?"

Spanx smirks.

Hawk Moth: "I'll take your silence as a yes."

Powers and Abilities: Redmond and Spanx are separated, the chain attached to them dissolve into bracelets that the two uses to fire energy beams. Anyone hit will be tangled and restrain in chains that are indestructible. They also possess a telepathic connection with each other, and are fast and agile.
