In the world of Happenstance ...

The US Military has an additional branch: The Magnates. They're essentially the super-hero-staffed branch of the armed forces. (granted, everyone in there is purebred military training. So you're not going to see wildcards better suited for the Suicide Squad).
Fireclaw has been leading this branch for a very long time (in part due to the fact that he doesn't report directly to the president ... which means that he can't get fired because he offends the snowflake in chief). He also has the unique (infamous) honor of being the only general to kill a U.S. President (who had openly sworn allegiance to WRAITH and tried to hand over the country). Good natured fellow on the whole, but obviously not one you should take lightly by any means.

... also worth noting his species. Colloquially he's "half-orc" which is a horrible misnomer (but given the sentient bio-diversity in Happenstance, political correctness is mocked openly). There's two types of orcs: the type that essentially constructs spawned from pits, and the type with genders and regular breeding processes.
- Fireclaw is one of the latter. He's a bit older, but orcs were easily living 100 years even before modern medicine (it's unknown how long they'll be able to live nowadays). In general they do have more human features and more body hair (their more human like traits is where "half orc" comes from. They're actually genetically incompatible (actually, most species are).
- The other type of orcs are constructs, purely. They require recipies, knowledge, and ingredients. Higher quality ingredients and care to detail makes stronger orcs. But, some people (like african warlords and jihadists) just want bodies to fire guns, so they spew out hunched deranged mongrels. Cave Goblins, for example, are orcs that spawn orcs without any higher intelligence watching the process ... as such those things are misshapen screeching scavengers for the most part.
