Herms really nailed what it was I was going for in this picture. I couldn't be more please with how it all came together. TBH, having worked at Archie for a while now and seeing his colors come in month after month, he's got to be one of the most dependable, nicest, and genuinely amazing colorists we have on staff. I wish he was around coloring things when I was still a fledgling artist on Sonic back in the day. His growth on the book has been tremendous...
I'd left little notes on the pencils to color in the moonlight shining through the trees, the reflections of the tree in the water, and even the see through parts of the bushes and he got all of it. The only niggle was entirely on my part - being the ambiguity of Sally's right foot on Sonic's spine which Paul and I had a laugh about later (I should have noted or defined that better. You live and learn).
From there, the last step was the lettering....

I was so happy to see your artwork in the new issue of Sonic the Hedgehog. It really summed up what the whole comic was all about and the colors were beautiful. Herms always has my repect. Hope you guys team up again for a whole Sonic comic issue.
