Dragon Ball Z Scouter----------------------------------------
Made with:
- Cardboard (quite a lot of it)
- Black, white, grey, and gold Duct/Duck tape
- Half of my pair of yellow safety goggles
- 1/4 of a pen spring
- 49g total car tire balance weights
- 2 AAA Batteries

This didn't take long to make, but unlike other things I've made, the design of the scouter as seen in the show is not practical as far as weight balancing.
Sure, real replications are made and sold with the head bad, but you don't see that in the actual show... plus that's cheating.
I find that the center of balance of this thing hangs on the upper edge of where your ear and head meet. The scouter itself does not hang well on your ear or head and wobbles a lot at even the tiniest of head turns. I have a mock-button on the side that you can actually push down, but it causes the scouter to pivot on your ear and press into your face since where the button is is not supported. I ended up having to cheat a bit to get the look right where I stuck tape on the earpiece in varying positions and quantities to reduce wobbling and pivoting.
Do not take the above to mean that I don't like the scouter, on the contrary, I think it's freakin' awesome!
